It has been a while since I did a blog post about the wedding. We are now only 4 months away from my wedding and the emotions and excitement are definitely starting to grow more and more.
Today I want to share with you my personal opinion and what I have learned about wedding dresses. Choosing your wedding dress is definitely one of the best experiences of a woman’s life. It is so magical to try on all this beautiful dresses and I felt like a princess every single time.
I already have my wedding dress and it is everything I dreamed of. I definitely felt it when I tried it on. It is a magical moment just like you feel when you fall in love.
FOUR THINGS TO KNOW BEFORE CHOOSING THE WEDDING DRESS
- First of all don’t rush! I started trying on wedding dresses in advance maybe more than 10 months before the wedding. I wanted to find the perfect one so I have been to most of the bridal showrooms here in Dubai and it took me about 3 months until I found my dream wedding dress. Because I made some changes on my wedding dress it takes four months until the dress arrives and I am so excited to see it again in the beginning of next year. I would highly suggest that you take your time and try on as many dresses as you can until you feel that this is the one. The wedding dress is very important so don’t rush into a decision if you are not sure.
2. The second thing I have learned is that you have to find your style! Even if you know way before your wedding how your dream wedding dress should look like trust me everything can change when you try it on! It has to be the right style for your body and personality. The two styles that are the most common on wedding dresses are mermaid or princess style. I am so excited to share with you the style I have picked but this will have to wait until the wedding. In the meantime here are some pictures with both of the styles I tried on. Which one is your favorite?
3. Take your bridesmaids or family with you when you are choosing the dress. The opinion of the people you love is definitely important and it makes the search more fun. One thing I definitely missed is having my mom with me when I tried on the dresses.
4. Don’t show your fiance your wedding dress until the wedding day. I know that this is a tradition and most of the grooms don’t see the dress before the wedding and I am so excited for this moment when the groom sees the bride for the first time when she is walking down the aisle in the wedding dress. I think it is such a beautiful , romantic and emotional moment.
Writing all this makes me really excited about the wedding. I hope you enjoyed this post and let me know in the comment section down bellow if you have any questions or any advice for me. What was your experience when choosing your wedding dress?
