I get asked a lot of times when is the best time to visit Dubai and what places would I recommend to visit? I will answer those questions in today’s blog post.
I have been living in Dubai for 4 years now and I can say that I already have favorites and my go to places here. Dubai is a city that is always changing, growing and evolving so it’s really hard to pick favorites.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT DUBAI?
In my opinion the best season in Dubai is between November and May. We are in January now and I absolutely love the current weather. It gets around 25 degrees during the day and it’s just hot enough to lay on the beach to get tanned but chill enough to visit the city and have long walks. This is something I love to do during winter in Dubai. However I have to say that December and January are the priciest moths to visit the city and the busiest.
February – March are a bit risky when it comes to rain or cold weather but if you are not planning a wedding here I think you will be just fine. Usually the rain lasts only few hours.
April was the month I had my wedding here in Dubai so I would say it’s a perfect month to visit before it gets too hot.
If you are on a budget well the summer season is the best time to come to Dubai. There are a lot of offers and you can stay in luxury hotels for less, however I have to warn you about the hot temperatures. There are not many outdoor activities that you can do during the summer months but if you just like to visit and stay indoors then summer time is a great way to visit Dubai for less.
WHAT PLACES TO VISIT IN DUBAI?
If you are coming here for the first time I would suggest visiting the followings:
DUBAI MALL, BURJ KHALIFA AND THE FOUNTAINS.
Dubai Mall is a must to visit in my opinion. It is the biggest shopping mall in the world and it got something for everyone.
The fountains are my favorites. I am still amazed by them and I love to go to the restaurants that have the fountains view to have dinner and enjoy the stunning water show. One tip is to actually see them from a restaurant because there are a lot of people in Dubai mall especially during the weekend and it can get really crowded. If you have time I would suggest visiting the mall during the week as it’s less crowded.
Burj Khalifa is the masterpiece of Dubai. There is no other one like it and it’s pretty impressive. It is the tallest building in the world and a MUST see. I would definitely recommend going on top of Burj Khalifa. You have amazing views from there and you are literally on top of the world. It is of course up to you if you prefer visiting it during the day or night. Both views are stunning though.
Another iconic building in Dubai is Burj Al Arab. The luxury there is on another level and you can even have 24k gold flakes on top of your caffe if you want to. My dream is to stay one night there.
Madinat Jumeirah is a beautiful place to visit. They have the view on Burj al Arab and they kept the old authentic style of Dubai. They have a traditional Souq where you can find a lot of diverse and amazing products.
You can go on a boat ride through the little canal and see the beauty of Burj Al Arab and Al Qsar hotel.
The Palm Jumeirah is the manmade palm tree shape island. There are a lot of beautiful hotels to visit there but the most famous one is the Atlantis hotel. The style of the hotel is so unique and it has a lot of fun activities to do from fun water parks to swimming with the dolphins.
PS: from the Palm you can make stunning pictures of the Marina skyline.
Dubai Marina is famous for the amazing skyscrapers. The buildings here are impressive and you can have beautiful walks on the marina walk and admire the beautiful architecture or you can even take a boat ride from there. There are boat tours showing you Marina, Atlantis and Burj Al Arab.
JBR is for the beach lovers. You can just go to the public beaches there or you can have lunch or dinner on the walk where they have lots of restaurants to choose from. I personally love JBR.
Newly open is the Blue Water Island. They just opened it two months ago and there is actually a bridge connecting JBR with the Blue Water Island for pedestrians to walk on. The have the Dubai Ain or Eye which is not open yet but it is bigger than London eye.
MIRACLE GARDEN is literally flower paradise. If you love flowers you must visit it. They have them most beautiful and creative designs.
Last but not least I would recommend to visit the Desert safari. This is such a fun an unique experience and you can’t come to Dubai and not go on safari! Seeing the sunset over the desert dunes is absolutely amazing plus the ride there is super fun. In the evening you get a traditional dinner and camel rides.
That’s it for today. I will be doing a part 2 with my favorite restaurants to visit and hotels to stay in. I hope it was helpful. Let me know if you have any questions in the comment section down bellow.
